Our younger guests love helping us feed the animals during their farm holiday in Cornwall. If you’ve stayed here before, some new animals have joined us throughout the last year, so your little ones might see some new faces on their next visit. When you’re here, don’t forget to join us for animal feeding every day at 8.30am sharp. The animals get very upset if we’re late! Here’s the current gang waiting to say hello.
Our hens
Agnes, Cathy, Winnie, Bianca, Conchita, Rosita, Polly, Henny and Penny have a happy life scratching around at the farm. They lay the most delicious eggs! You can help us collect them during your stay and maybe even take an egg or two back to your holiday cottage to have for your breakfast. Happy, free-range hens produce the best eggs – just wait and see!
Our Indian Runner ducks
Animal feeding always starts with the ducks. Our little flock of cartoon-style Indian Runners is led by Eric, who thinks he’s in charge. He looks after the girls, Mabel, Snowy, Daffy and Dizzy. After breakfast they waddle up from the stable before setting out to explore the farm … and jump in their drinking water!
Our Pygmy goats
Dandelion, Plum, Hazel, Daisy, Jessie and Bounty have won the hearts of many of our guests – young and old. Small, friendly and very inquisitive, they love carrots, chasing each other and occasionally nibbling our wellies.
Our Soay sheep
Barley and Clover are the fastest sheep in the West! Once you’ve opened their gate, they set off at high speed to join their friends, the pigs, in the top field. And despite being little, they take no nonsense from Chilli, Ruby and Rose.
Our Kune Kune pigs
Kune Kune means ‘fat and round’ in Maori which perfectly describes Ruby, Rose and Chilli. Originally from New Zealand, Kune Kune pigs mainly eat grass. But our girls love something even more delicious – banana skins! So save yours for animal feeding time and watch how quickly they disappear!
West Woolley Farm is the perfect choice for a child-friendly holiday close to the coast in North Cornwall. With six self-catering cottages all fully kitted out for the whole family. We hope to see you all soon!
