If you’re thinking of bringing your bikes on holiday, or hiring them while you’re here, there’s a good choice of quiet countryside lanes to explore nearby and around Bude (if you don’t mind a few hills!) as well as the dedicated cycle routes of the Tarka and Camel Trails.
The Tarka Trail to the North of Woolley and the Camel Trail to the South are both great for family cycling as they largely follow the routes of old railway lines, without any cars and not too many hills. Much of the rails follow coastal estuaries and beautiful countryside with many places to stop for a drink and an ice cream along the way.
We can provide a safe place to store your bikes while you’re here. However, if you haven’t got room to bring them it’s easy to hire them once you’ve arrived.
Ride It Cycles in Bude offer a range of bikes to hire online for a few hours or multiple days, including electric bikes and bike trailers. In the high season, it’s best to book ahead.
There are also plenty of hire centres at different points on the Tarka and Camel Trails.
